stay healthy and motivated

currently, i am obsessed with staying in shape and eating healthy. however, there are times where i allow myself to eat whatever i want, but not all the time. one day i want to influence people to have a better lifestyle by exercising and eating right. throughout my life, i have gone through many diets, many wrong decisions when it came to dieting, and through all of those experiences there is only one thing i learned eating healthy and staying active is where its at.

GOALS:
current weight: 134.4 lbs.
goal weight by april: 125 lbs.
UGW by may: 120 lbs.
BE HEALTHY. STAY ACTIVE. STAY MOTIVATED. JUST BECAUSE YOU ATE ONE COOKIE, OR MADE A MISTAKE IN YOUR DIET, NEVER GIVE UP! TOMORROW IS A BRAND NEW DAY:)

i-am-stronger:

Hmm… I have to say I kind of disagree with this!
This may be true for people who are obese, seriously need to lose fat and increase their cardio strength, but for the average person who needs to lose weight or get in shape, I think this is way too much cardio. I feel like just because cardio is known for “fat burning” that people do it nonstop and think it’s the only way to slim down. I found that once I started cutting back my cardio from 45-60 minutes down to 20-30 minutes and included weight lifting in my routine that I’ve gotten much better results. I feel like when I do too much cardio that it eats away my muscle more than fat.
Not to mention the more muscle you have, the more calories you’ll burn by just sitting still! And muscle makes you look much smaller, tighter, and leaner!
In my humble opinion, just based off my experience, I think it’s better to do 20-35 minutes of cardio 5x a week and include weight lifting for an hour at least 2-3 times a week.
Don’t get yourself stuck in a cardio rut!

i actually went back into working out and watching what i eat just last week! last week i ran 5 days and today i ran and walked for an hour 4.08 miles and 416 calories burned. i am motivated that i will lose 10 lbs. by june and 5 lbs. by july to get to my UGW! also i am trying to lose the weight by not using a gym and just using home remedies. however, once school ends on may 9th-20th i will be hitting the gym hard.

what inspired me to go back to working out and eating healthy? when i went on the scale and saw the number i gained 5 lbs. and i was 139 and once i saw that number last monday i was motivated to run! and now i checked my weight a week later 138, so the number is going down just impatient. hopefully by next week i will be at the 136-137 range. i think that my biggest biggest mistake i did was eating pizza and chinese food. probably went over my calorie intake.

—-i downloaded this app on my android and its called map my run records all my runs, including times, distance, a map of where i ran, and calories. i can also record my meals and i am not suppose to eat more than 1350 calories a day!

so to all the bloggers out there trying to lose weight. never give up:) when you make a mistake by eating something you weren’t supposed to don’t stress out, eat healthy the rest of the day and you have a new day after so its like the one thing you ate wrong never happened.
